Can I have a healthy baby with prior syphilis history?

  • I was diagnosed and treated for syphilis in 2019 and found out I was pregnant in November 2020. My titers were very low, doctor said it’s so low that it’s basically negative. I was concerned that I would transmit it to my newborn so I tried to ask as many questions as possible before aborting due to psychological difficulties. Doctors were assuring that it’s possible BUT it is also still likely. I was so confused and just hoped for the best outcome. Now I’m scared again.
